Mr. Perlman produced, wrote and directed the critically acclaimed television documentary “Eyes of the World,” which Variety praised as an “intense, passionate and intelligent work.” This New York Times Critics Choice film examines how fear can be manipulated into hatred. It looks behind the frame to explore the price paid by journalists from Newsweek, the NY Times and the Associated Press as they gather evidence of war crimes in an attempt to prompt the world community into action and hold the perpetrators accountable. Photographs from the film have been used to prosecute war criminals in The Hague.

Mr. Perlman's most recent work is the award winning documentary  “Tibet:Beyond Fear”. It has been translated into 10 languages and broadcast on television worldwide. The New York Times hailed the film as “Emotional….Riveting….Compelling.”  With an opening by Richard Gere and interviews with leaders of Amnesty and International Campaign for Tibet, this film documents a remarkable story of courage. Ngwang, a Buddhist nun and Bagdro, a Buddhist monk, at the ages of 13 and 20, led freedom demonstrations against the Chinese occupation of Tibet. They were arrested, imprisoned and brutally tortured until a worldwide movement culminated in their release. Through the power of a positive mind and inspired by the Dalai Lama, they find a way beyond fear and have even forgiven their former torturers.
